A limiting condition (限定条件 gentei jōken) is a characteristic that cards may have, indicating that a card can only be used if your LRIG has a certain LRIG type.
If a card has a limiting condition, it is listed in the center-left area of the card, stating "X limited", where X is a LRIG type. If a SIGNI or key has a limiting condition, that means it cannot be put onto the field in any way unless your center LRIG has the specified LRIG type. (If you grow into a LRIG, and that LRIG doesn't have the LRIG type specified by the limiting condition of a SIGNI you have on the field, that SIGNI is put into the trash.) If an ARTS or spell has a limiting condition, that means it cannot be used unless your LRIG has the specified LRIG type. A card's limiting condition does not prevent a player from including it in their deck or LRIG deck, ener charging it, using it to pay costs, or using its Life Burst.
Some cards, like Last Select, specify multiple LRIG types with their limiting condition, indicating it can be used if your LRIG has either LRIG type.
