Unaffected

Certain cards allow SIGNI to become unaffected by certain effects (効果を受けない kōka o ukenai). A SIGNI that is unaffected by effects cannot be subjected to the following effects:

1. Effects that change power or text
   • Its power cannot be increased or decreased by effects, and it cannot gain or lose abilities by effects.
2. Effects that move that SIGNI
   • It cannot be vanished by effects, and it cannot be moved from its SIGNI Zone to another zone such as the trash or hand by effects. It can still be vanished by battle, as that is a game rule and not an effect.
3. Effects that change the SIGNI's state
   • Its color cannot be changed by effects, it cannot be upped or downed by effects, and it cannot be frozen. Effects that put cards underneath the SIGNI or attach cards to the SIGNI do not change its state, so they go through.

Any effects that do not fall into the above categories can indirectly affect SIGNI even if they would otherwise be unaffected by their effects. Cards such as Iona, Ultima/Maiden and Saturn, White Natural Planet (which may force a player to put their SIGNI into their trash, including unaffected SIGNI) and Exia, Blessed Angel Queen (which prevents a player from declaring an attack with any SIGNI in a designated SIGNI zone, even if that SIGNI is unaffected by effects) are examples of these.
